NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Byron Union School District encourages participation by bargaining leaders, parents, teachers, and members of the community interested in the affairs of the District, and shall make a determination through a resolution, as to whether each pupil in each school in the District has sufficient textbooks and instructional materials, or both, in each subject that is consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum framework adopted by the state board. PROPOSED RESOLUTION #01-25 The Board of Trustees of the Byron Union School District hereby certifies compliance with Education Code Section 60119 and as of this date, each pupil in the District in kindergarten through grade eight, has been provided with a standards-aligned textbook or basic instructional materials in each of the following areas: ● Reading/Language Arts ● Mathematics ● Science ● History/Social Science For students in K-8, the instructional materials were purchased from an approved standards-aligned state adoption list as required by CCR, Title 5, Section 9531 and Education Code Section 60119. Certification will be approved by the Board of Trustees of the Byron Union School District on September 11, 2025.
